A quick note for anyone who might want to visit my upcoming show on Salt Spring Island, the show opening has been moved ahead one week!

The show opening date is Friday, August 26th from 6 pm to 8 pm. It would be wonderful to see you there!

Our Gulf Islands are finally heating up this summer; the ocean is sparkling, sail boats and Orca whales are gliding by. Finally our gardens are bursting with bounty from our earlier planting efforts. We can be found in the garden grazing on carrots, radishes and arugula. Peas are plentiful!

My show paintings have all just been photographed. However I am still painting away, just one more painting or so...to work on. The forest plants are peering through my studio windows to see what I'm up to. I'm up to painting them! You can see from this backlit photo I caught a short time ago of lichen (Usena).
